Wow, talk about being proud to be a Canadian. I cannot believe the energy and vibe the 2010 Olympic games have had on Vancouver, British Columbia, and Canada as a whole! Congratulations to VANOC, the volunteers, and all of the competing athletes from around the world!

Back to fishing! The Olympics have created a buzz not only for Vancouver but for tourism in BC as a whole. We have had some great clients from around the world over the past 2 weeks, all of them, enjoying the mild weather and for the most part the sunny weather we have been enjoying. Sturgeon fishing and trout fishing have been consistent in the Fraser River system and with the forecast of mostly sunny and mild for the next week the fishing should remain strong. The Vedder continues to produce some nice fish on most days. The river has been busy on the weekends but hey it is busy because there is a real chance of success! Pink worms, shrimp and egg sacks are working well. If you are into fly fishing try Popsicles, Leeches, or single egg imitations. Soon salmon fry will begin hatching and minnow patterns will become good as well!
