Life as a Fishing Guide
February 6th, 2009

Fishing Guides are repeatedly asked the question- "What do you do in the "Off Season?"
The answer is usually "nothing". Which is really a boring answer, and probably makes the Question poser feel a bit silly. Besides it's not true at all.
Over the past few years I have noticed a trend, it's scary, and sickening...
They GO FISHING. And it's not for "research" or to better themselves in their jobs for the next Season. It's because they LIKE IT, even when they aren't catching a darn thing, they do exactly the same thing, get up early, get their waders on, meet at the tackle shop, or boat launch, and get out on the water.
Maybe the rest of us are all in the wrong profession. For example the Electrician never goes home and installs new lights, or wires the bathroom that's been sitting unfinished for 6 years. I Never go home and yabber away on the phone or enter data into fancy spreadsheets on the computer, in fact the computer is the last thing I want to sit in front of.
The fishing guide knows there is an opportunity to catch fish year round, and they love it, so they go out fishing everyday! Lucky for them the fishing has been really good this winter. Some proof of this and to make this rant more interesting is above!
Enjoy wiring fixtures, plumbing toilets, analyzing financial data, or whatever else might ail you- Everyone in this company is enjoying a great day of fishing!
Call Us if you want to go out- the guides would probably love to get paid for what they are doing anyways!
