November 6th, 2008

Above are a few pictures from our annual Scandanavian Tour group that comes fishing. These are from Late October.
Two of the largest fish caught in the group. There were some very very spectacular fish caught that week and fishing has become way more active since then.
November will be the best month for fishing this year considering the wet weather was so late in coming this year!
Book for November or early December there are spots available.

A post from a client who fished with us for 6 days last week.
Thanks Simon!
I just want to say a huge thank you to all at the BC Sport Fishing Group. Out of the 4 of us who fished (Simon, Will, Shaun and Jimmy) " we've fished all over the world including big shark fishing, marlin fishing and tiger fishing on the mighty Zambezi, but this week for us all has gone down as the best week in all our lives in every aspect, the fishing was amazing, the humour, the guides (Jordi, Tyler and Darrell), the hotel, everything was just as the sun, stars and all the planets had aligned for that one moment, (in this case a whole week) to enable all 4 of us to say this was the best week in our lives. We've got so many memories that will be cherished forever. One of the many repeated phrases that I recall from last week was "This is living!" and how true. forget all other desinations, this is as good as it gets. Rock star fishing in its purest form! And to quote a very famous US politician......I'll be back! Roll on 2009...
A weeks fishing gone...
October 27th, 2008Sean, Will, Simon, and Jimmy's excellent adventure. Another year, and another weeks fishing gone. Approximately 70 fish(sturgeon) landed over those 6 days, with at least one being over 6 feet each day. One day was 2 big fish at the same time - one 6 foot 10, the other 7 foot 1!! Here are a few pics from the last few days.
Getaway Tours
October 26th, 2008Here is one days fishing for Fiske Feber Getaway Tours clients Leon, Per, and Jesper. They had one day sturgeon fishing, out of 6 days fishing, and landed 16 fish with the biggest being these 2 fish. The top is 7 foot 6, and the bottom is 7 foot 3.
Jumping Dog Fish!!!!!
October 25th, 2008On Thursday I had the pleasure of heading out on one of our Guide Boats with clients Tim & David, after catching a few sturgeon (one very nice virgin sturgeon on the Harrison), I got to experience one of Valley's best fisheries!
We pull into the spot, and theres fish jumping left and right, and they weren't little either! My guide is demonstrating how to cast and instructing me where to place my line and sure enough the float drops under the surface and BAM!, he hands the rod over. I was SO surprised at the ferocity of this fish, it went and went and keep pulling and I was going "uhhh how long till this thing is tired?" Now the only salmon I have ever caught is a little Pink Salmon, this Chum was a workout!!
The guide says "that one isn't even a male Ria, that's a female, wait till you hook a male!"
Sure enough a few more casts- I get one, lose it (yes I have bad technique), then sure enough I hook good and proper- a male chum.
Man can they ever fight? About 10 minutes later I have landed a very very beautiful fish (I promise to put the picture up asap) The geniousness of David promts us to use the sturgeon sling so I can actually get a good shot and keep it alive and well enough to throw back in! (Thanks David!)
Now that is one heck of a recreational fishery! They fight harder than most, and I can't wait to try to get one on my fly rod! Now when an angler says to me "no I don't like to fish for Chum". I think I will definitely be able to change their minds!
Thanks for reading- tight lines.
