Work Experience
November 2nd, 2009It is really awesome to have nice clients- during BC's work experience week, 2 of our clients let James from Rosedale out on their guided trip so he could experience what it is like to be a fishing guide.
James
We enjoyed fishing with you, hope you enjoyed your work experience of guiding and can find a career that meets your expectations. I have attached the best of the photos we took and have also forwarded a copy to Ria.
Cheers
Phil
We have a 4 fish for the price of 3 special going on for November. Call us 1-877-796-3345
Now here is a short and sweet accolade- but the pictures tell it all...
Dear Yves
Thank you very much for a nice trip. We hope to see you again. You have been a very good guide.
Sincerely
Stefan.
Now I get to make fun of Yves- don't those glasses make him look like Jordie from Star Trek?
2009 Sturgeon Classic
October 31st, 2009Yesterday was the 2009 Sturgeon Classic, all the proceeds this year went to the Sturgeon conservation Society to further their research on this amazing creature! It was a great day, the biggest fish was 8 foot 2 (if my memory is correct). The group from Tim Hortons won a trip for 4 to Langara fishing lodge!
The most interesting fish caught during the derby was by Rick Hansen- the fish had been caught and tagged initially in 2001 by - guess who- RICK HANSEN and had been caught 2 more times in the years proceeding yesterday by -Guess who- RICK HANSEN. That's amazing- the same fish over 8 years- 4 times! Stalker? Or Pet? You decide! Maybe Rick keeps him in an aquarium on his boat?! just kidding!
Below are some shots from Tony's boat!
The OTHER pictures I have below are from the last day of the 2nd week John WIlson Crew- have a safe trip back to the UK guys!
Special thanks to Jason for providing these awesome ones to me!
November is awesome fishing and we have a great deal- 4 fish for the price of three!
Happy Halloween!

Life is good, Fishing is GREAT!
October 30th, 2009See the pic's below!
November is 4 ride for the price of 3 month!
Today there are 10 boats out fihsing for charity, all the proceeds go back to help fund research to maintain our lovely and growing population of sturgeon!
Chum salmon fishing is still good!
Thanks,
Ria

Fisher Woman!
October 26th, 2009It always makes me smile when one of our guides has a female angler on the boat and they come back in after a long day and seem absolutely amazed about how TOUGH the lady could be at fighting a giant Sturgeon!
I have seen Chad's 11 year old daughter fight fish harder than some of the male anglers that come out fishing!
This woman could definitely hold her own. Caught a 7 foot 1, no assistance whatsoever, and no fighting belt (I hope the internal bruising from Chad's poorly-butted rod has cleared!)
Mrs. Alton was a part of the John Wilson Group from the Uk last week who caught a total of 83 sturgeon over their 6 days (6 people). The largest was caught by Andrew and was 8 feet 6 inches (About 350lbs). The gorup also caught a variety of Chum and Chinook salmon over the week, the biggest Chinook was 40lbs.
there is opportunity to still take advantage of the great fall fishing! Lots of Chum too !

Creativity!
October 19th, 2009I think I can pretty much only write a fishing blog max 2 times a week. How am I supposed to think up something new and exciting when we enjoy one of the most CONSISTENT fisheries in the world?!
Sturgeon shot after sturgeon shot, Salmon shot after salmon shot, it's great, but I feel repetitive!
Two clients- Keith and Phil gave me an idea that we should get clients to send pictures of themselves in their BC Sportfishing Group /Harrison Bay / Fred's Fishing Adventures Gear in random places- if you have one of you in a Fred's Sweatshirt at the base of Mount Everest- send in on to us please! Too bad I don't have a holiday planned for this year...
TONY got creative with the lens and got some awesome shots from the past couple of weeks. These are really nice: Check 'em out below!
We have space for fishing! It's still excellent!
Thanks for reading,
Ria

Elusively or Exclusively??
October 18th, 2009These two words look quite similar in terms of letters.
In the angling world they somehow seem to intertwine until you don't actually notice the difference. Seems to happen when anglers are fishing for Steelhead and Coho.
Coho and Steelhead seem to be coveted, and they do just happen to be the more elusive fish species around. It almost seems that once you start targeting these fish you join in an exclusive club comprised of other anglers all vying for these elusive types of fish. You'll be able to discuss elusive fish exclusively with other anglers...
Now I don't know much about the migrating coho, or the staging coho, but I DO know it's pretty awesome when you catch one. Now's the time to try- happy fishing hope you enjoyed the lovely Fall weekend!

Did I mention that Sturgeon fishing is great? Chum (the not so elusive fish) are here too!
You and me goin' Fishing in the Wind...
October 15th, 2009
Yesterday was the first of the non-windy days on the Fraser! YAY! Despite the cold clear windy days we had some great fishing, albeit some days were a challenge! Our guides know where to hide, and know where to find em, and if they can't get out of the wind they'll just fish backwards in the lower river on an incoming tide!
Below are some nice pics of one of the cold clear windy days! Enjoy!
We have bookings available for mid-week and the odd weekend date here and there.
Call 1-877-796-3345
Thanks,
Ria

5 in 1 GO!
October 9th, 2009Yesterday one of the clients on Chad's boat caught all 5 species of Pacific Salmon- immediately prior to the 5th fish Chad said "theres not a chance thsat you will you catch a Coho!"
5 Minutes later the client had one on the end of his fly rod! It seems that this happened just so Chad could feel like either A) an idiot; or
a superstar guide
I might be biased so you can decide for yourself! It's a wonderful time to be out fishing- you never know what will end up on your line!
Sturgeon has been dynamite also!
Tight Lines-

Chum and CHum a CHummmaaa....
October 8th, 2009It's coming, (some might say it's here) my favorite fishing season- CHUM SEASON!
Yay! This year I will ask someone to smoke them for me seeing as it took 3 really badly burnt fish to get the recipe right last year, or else I am catching and releasing!
Either way I cannot wait to get out there and enjoy the crisp, cold Fall weather and some hard fighting fish!
Ria
We have space, just not this weekend! Call us! 1-877-796-3345
PS- when the Chum are here sturgeon fishing is usually phenomenal!
