One Tim, 8 Fish, One Pic
April 23rd, 2009
This is Tim, he decided to get out of his office in Central Canada, and came to spend a day in Tony's Office. I think the 8 hours spent here definitley beats any 8 hour day at work! Unless you consider reeling in 8 Sturgeon work!
(Tim, - if your arms didn't hurt today, they will definitely hurt tomorrow!)
The fishing is SUPERB, come spend a day in our Office!
Call our landlocked one to book- 1-877-796-3345
It's only half over- OR it's only half begun!
April 17th, 2009The typical ridiculously good fishing we see over our Spring season is only half begun, the weather is getting warmer and the fish are getting hungrier!
Below are some pics from Mission earlier this week. Has been good fishing all over the river.
Call to book!

Spring Fly Fishing at it's Best!
April 14th, 2009I spent the day showing friend and client Dana from Tundra Sales some more fly fishing options in the Fraser Valley.
Dana has had the chance to show some of his customers some great fishing with me on the Upper Pitt, Harrison, and Fraser rivers over the past few seasons.
We had a great day, landing 2 dozen fish and losing the battle with over an other dozen! 4 different species were caught on a variety of flies, including some dry's when the bugs began hatching.
Dana summed it all up as we were packing up to head home, "That was the best day of fishing I have ever had!"
It was a pleasure Dana. If you love to fly fish, give us a call and learn more about the many hidden gems we have to offer over the next month and a half.

Family Fun Day!
April 10th, 2009In my family these 3 words don't actually translate- "Family Fun Day" usually comes back to me holding a shovel, knee deep in you-know-what, in the barn. I guess everyone was raised with a different concept of "Fun". My family translates "fun" to "work". FYI -Driving the tractor is actually fun (when your 10)!
Looking at these pictures- "Family Fun Day" translated into Dad working but EVERYONE else having great fun! Not that these Dad's don't have fun at work, because I am sure they do! Catching fish and watching others catch fish is ALWAYS fun, especially when it's nice and HOT and SUNNY like it was last week!
Below we have the Skaaning Family and the Williams Family enjoying a Sunny, Warm day out!

Whatever your "Family Fun" might translate to, we urge you to bring out the Clan for some Fishing Fun! It's always a great day enjoying the Fraser River and catching Sturgeon as a family!
P.S. It's probably time to start dropping hints that you might want a Sturgeon Fishing trip for Mother's Day or Father's Day!

Spring is Here!
April 8th, 2009Another day, another wahckload of Fish! The weather has now changed and the plus 19 degree celcius days we had on the boats this weekend were amazing! It was like Summer is almost here! The local Golf course is looking great, try a Hook Line and Sink it package at the Sandpiper golf course and get 6 hours of fishing and a full 18 holes of golf in! Call us for more details! 1-877-796-3345
Below are Russ Heagles pictures from last week- (when it was still cold!)
Fish of the Week! Congrats Eric Moland!
April 1st, 2009Monday was the Kickoff to the start of a Fantastic week of Fishing! These photos are the biggest from Eric Molands Trip. The Largest fish caught was 8 foot 6, the smallest 4 foot 6! Nice fish! Congratulations Eric & Susan Moland!
We still have some boats available this weekend if you are interested in geting out to enjoy the Excellent Spring Fishing!
A fun thing to consider would be an afternoon trip out of Mission on April 3rd- Nitty Gritty Dirt band is playing at the Mission Raceway-it'd be fun to be "Fishing in the Dark" Friday night listening to some great tunes!
Give us a Call if you want to enjoy the Great Weather this weekend!
I have a share fly fishing trip available for anytime during the next two weeks! Mid-Week is preffered. The Angler looking to share would like to do a Lillooet trip but would also be happy to Cutthroat Trout fish!
Take Care! Tight Lines- Ria
Spring (Sturgeon) Break 2009
March 19th, 2009We hadn't discussed the options, but in the past we have done some camping, atving, visited friends in the Kootenays, or best of all taken a trip to Disneyland!
When I told the kids we weren't going away this away time, I started naming off things we could do for fun close to home.We could go hiking, visit the aquarium, ride our quads ect. But they were both very set on doing some fishing! Now, we have fished a bit in the past but according to them it was time to stop fooling around and get serious about it! Maybe I have helped to much or whatever but they wanted to get more hands on and see what I am always fussing about.
For those of you that don't live in the Fraser Valley, you have to understand that this has been the worst weather on Spring Break we have ever had. It has been windy, wet, and cold. We have had hail, snow, and rain almost every day,
so getting out on the water has been a tough sell on Dad, but not the kids!! They are too smart, when I try to say its too cold
they remind me that the boats are covered and heated! So why not? We really are blessed with all of the fishing opportunity
we have in the Fraser Valley.
We start by learning the different baits, and how to prepare them. A little harder for the girls than the boys it seems!

It doesn't take long before we are into not 1 fish, but 2! A double header!

After looking at these pics, I notice the same technique by father and son!

Dad gets a nice fish pushing the 7' mark to the side of the boat!

A quick pic, and away he goes so we can deal with Sage's "monster"
One of his biggest to date, and all by himself from hook set to landing!

Then it was Emma's turn. Emma still needs a little assistance from her brother and the Folbe rod holders!!
That a girl, keep crankin'!!

WOW! bigger than I thought!

We spent a lot of time discussing the tagging program, and the importance of understanding and protecting sturgeon.

We had a great assembly line going, each with a certain task so we could process the fish quickly and accurately.
4' fish for a 4' kid! pretty cool.

We tried several spots, and they all seemed to produce.

All in all we have had a great couple days of fishing, and if the weather holds we intend to do a few more. I try to think back to my Spring Breaks as a kid and some of the times I remember most involved fishing!
If you get a chance, take your kids out for a day. There are no licences required under the age of 16 and we have a variety of fisheries to try right now like trout, kokanee, all kinds of course fish and of course sturgeon.
If you are interested in getting the family out for a day of sturgeon fishing, give us a call and we will start up the heaters and begin making some bait!Steelhead Fishing in the Snow....
March 14th, 2009

Well the last kick at the can last week for the snow I am hoping!
But some nice Steelhead Shots in the white stuff!
The fishing is better than ever! COmeon out for a trip!
